Rail Talent Asia is supporting a major railway infrastructure project in India and is seeking a highly experienced Contract Expert to join the project team. This is a senior-level role suited for professionals with extensive background in contract and commercial management for large-scale railway projects, including international assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all contractual and commercial matters related to the railway project.

Review, administer, and interpret contract documents in accordance with project requirements.

Handle contract variations, claims, counterclaims, and dispute-related issues.

Provide expert advice on contractual risk, cost control, and commercial strategy.

Support the project team in negotiations with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with contract conditions and international best practices.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

Experience:

More than 20 years of experience as a Contract or Commercial Expert.

At least 15 years of experience in railway projects as a Commercial/Contract Expert.

Minimum 5 years of experience in overseas projects.

Experience in India or other South Asian countries is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of international contract standards (e.g. FIDIC) is an advantage.

Contract Details

Contract Duration: 1 year

Extension: Possible for an additional 1 year, subject to performance and project needs.
